And just like that 2023 has come to a close! As the holiday season winds down, now is the perfect time to hit pause, regroup and kick start the new year on a strong note. You can do that by activating your My Pension account! Think of it like your personalized membership tool, packed with valuable resources to assist you on your retirement journey.
Currently over 28,000 active members and 19,000 retirees are registered users on the portal. If you are not one, now’s the perfect time to do just that. We’ve got some exciting updates coming to the portal to make your pension journey even smoother.
Keep your personal information in tip-top shape
Life happens, and keeping your personal information up to date is a breeze with My Pension. You can effortlessly update your personal details like a change in address or update beneficiaries in your account.
What’s New: Retirees can now update banking and tax information directly on the portal so there are no delays to receiving your pension payments.
Stay connected and in the know
My Pension also serves as a hub for all essential communication about your pension. You can easily reach the CAAT team for all enquiries using the secure Message Centre. And It's not just that; My Pension also offers the flexibility to update your communication preferences, allowing you to choose the way you want to stay informed.
What’s New: In addition to receiving important documents like your annual statements, retirees can now also access and download their T4 and COLA letters online.
Forecast your retirement
Retirement planning as an active member gets easier with My Pension. Our online pension estimator lets you model your ideal retirement to forecast your future pension using different retirement dates and ages. You can base this projection on your personal data including earnings, years of service and more for an accurate reading.
Follow these simple steps to activate your account today:
- Get started. Visit www.caatpension.ca, click Login, select “My Pension” then click “Sign Up Now”.
- Verify your identity. Enter your Member ID (found on your Membership Certificate or Annual Statement), date of birth and the last three digits of your SIN.
- Secure your account. Create a password, choose your multifactor authentication method and set up your three security questions.
- Set your communication preferences. To receive future pension documents on My Pension instead of by mail, select “Online”. Don’t forget to save your selection.
Enjoy! You now have convenient access to all your pension information and your GROWTHplus Investment Account, if applicable. You can use the Message Centre to easily send secure messages to the CAAT team.
Not sure if you can access My Pension?
Members with employers who joined CAAT as a result of a merger do not have access to My Pension. If you are a member in this category, you can access your pension details by visiting our webpage on merged plans.
Although the member portal is not currently available for members with merger employers, you still can access other resources and support CAAT offers. Visit the website at anytime to get an estimate of your pension and also discover additional tools to help support you on your pension journey.
