Take our annual member and employer surveys
This summer, we are launching our new member and employer annual surveys. We’re happy to share the great news, as this year, the surveys are shorter and easier to complete, taking 15 minutes or less. Share your opinions about the CAAT Pension Plan so we can create a better tomorrow for members and employers.
Member Survey
Active members received a link via email and retired members received a postcard in the mail with the link to the survey. Encourage your employees to complete the survey to share their feedback about the Plan and our services. The survey closes August 16.
Employer Survey
Participate in our employer survey to share your feedback on our strategy, products, and services. You will receive a link to the survey in July via email.

Learn more about the update to the formula for DBplus member pension adjustments taking effect January 1, 2023. You will receive an invitation two weeks prior to attending this event. A recording will be available for those who are not able to join us.

Updates & reminders
Annual statements on track for June 30
We are excited to share that 97% of the Active members statements have been sent out. The remaining Active, Deferred, and Extension of Membership (EOM) member statements will be sent out by June 30.
If you work with one of our administration partners, your member statements will be sent out by June 30.
Reminder to review your contribution reconciliations
We are processing the final contribution reconciliation packages. Please review these as soon as you receive them. Contact CAAT Finance or your Employer PA if you have any questions.
Revised DBplus Pension Adjustment formula
Read this if… you are an employer working directly with CAAT
As communicated by your Employer PA on May 31, we are updating the Pension Adjustment (PA) formula for DBplus benefits to change the PA offset calculation effective January 1, 2023. This change will create a more efficient administrative process and reduce the risks related to manual adjustments. Register for our upcoming session on July 21 for more information.
New feature on PAL coming soon
Read this if ... you are an employer working directly with CAAT and use PAL
This new feature will give someone on your team administration access so they can add, update, and remove users on the Pension Administration Link (PAL). This feature will be available in the summer with more details to come.
Processing for annual termination project
Read this if ... you are a college employer
The annual termination project identifies members who did not contribute to the Plan in the last reporting year. These members are reported as non-contributory (NC). NC members will either receive a Termination Package or Retirement Package from the Plan, based on their age and when their EOM period is ending.
As of June 9, 2022, the project is 20% complete, with 234 total packages completed and mailed. The completion date for this project is August 31, 2022.
Thank you for submitting the June 30 retirement applications
Read this if ... you are a college employer
We have 189 retirement applications for members retiring as of June 30. The deadline for completed retirement election packages and supporting documents was June 14 to set up the pension payment for July 1.
We will have a special payment run this year for any packages we receive after June 14. We will process any packages we receive up until 3:00 p.m. ET on June 29. These will be processed for payment on July 8.
