Dr. Fearon is an Employer representative (CEC-appointed) and is President of George Brown College. He has extensive experience in government and post-secondary education, including a strong teaching and research record, and has served on several community boards. He is a recipient of numerous awards, including the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal (2013) and the Michaëlle Jean Foundation Influencer Award (2017). Dr. Fearon holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Western Ontario, a Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA, CGA), and Institute of Corporate Directors designation (ICD.D).
