Biography
Zahid Salman
Zahid is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer at Green Shield Canada. He has over 25 years of industry experience, and before joining GSC, held a number of senior executive positions at various global firms. In addition to being on GSC’s board, Zahid has been a director with various other organizations. He currently serves on the board of the York Region Children’s Aid Society as governance committee chair and is on the board of the Canadian Life & Health Insurance Association (CLHIA).
Zahid is an actuary who has earned Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA) and Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designations. He is also a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School, and has obtained his ICD.D designation through the Institute of Corporate Directors.
