Summer is here! You know what that means
We hope you’re all set with patio plans, a road trip and lots of BBQs. While you’re planning your summer, we’re here to help you plan for your future. How? We started sending out your Annual Statements this spring.
Your Annual Statement has a lot of useful info to help you plan. It shows:
- How much pension you earned at the end of 2023,
- How your pension has increased since your last statement or over 2023 if you’re a new member, and
- Up to three possible retirement dates.
Your statement is a pretty great resource. It’s personalized and it can help you plan for your retirement (how many summer vacays away is that?)
You get your statement in the mail every spring. You can also find your statement in CAAT’s member portal, My Pension, as soon as it’s ready. Check your statement to make sure your information is up to date, such as your address and beneficiaries.
If you have access to My Pension, and have already activated your account, make sure you’ve selected to receive your statements online. You’ll get an email when your statement is produced. When you log in, you’ll see your statement displayed on your dashboard.
For our members in Ontario's College System who received a retroactive payment due to Bill 124, your statement will be ready this month to ensure the data is accurate and up to date.
It’s shiny and new -- our enhanced message centre on My Pension
We’re excited to introduce our newly enhanced message centre on My Pension. So, if you’ve got any big questions for us about your Annual Statement, check out our message centre. It used to look a bit dated, we admit. We wanted to make it feel familiar, like many other email platforms. Check out the new look. We hope you love it as much as we do!
If your employer joined CAAT through a plan merger, you don’t have access to the portal and your annual statement will be mailed to your home address.
CAAT is now 100,000 members strong
CAAT’s mission continues to reach new heights as the Plan celebrates 100,000 members. This exciting milestone shows what we can achieve when we focus on improving retirement income security across Canada. We are deeply appreciative of our members, participating employers and partners for the trust they have placed in us to manage their pensions.
Since CAAT was created in 1967, our membership has increased significantly. In the last decade alone, membership has grown by 60,000 (+150%). Today, we proudly serve more than 440 participating employers in 20 industries including the for-profit, non-profit, and broader public sectors across the country.
