Accerta Services Inc. commits to employee wellness by joining DBplus

Toronto, June 6, 2022 – Accerta Services Inc. (‘Accerta Services’) has joined the CAAT Pension Plan under the DBplus plan design. DBplus will provide Accerta Services employees with secure and sustainable pensions with valuable retirement income for life, early retirement options, survivor benefits and inflation protection – all at a fixed cost for both the employer and employee.

Accerta Services is a subsidiary of AccertaClaim Servicorp Inc. (‘Accerta’), a social enterprise committed to reducing inequities in public programs and lessening the administrative burden for governments and their stakeholders. The decision to join CAAT comes less than a year after Accerta Services’ parent organization also joined the Plan.

“Our participation in CAAT demonstrates our commitment to our employees and our ongoing efforts to help them realize their personal, professional and financial goals,” said Peter Owsiany, President, CEO & Chief Privacy Officer, at Accerta.

“We are excited to welcome Accerta Services to the Plan within a year of their parent company joining DBplus. This tells me that we’re doing something right,” said Derek Dobson, CEO and Plan Manager, CAAT Pension Plan. “As more organizations adapt to the changing work environment, it is encouraging to see employers like Accerta and its subsidiaries step up their commitment to investing in employee wellness.”

Accerta Services joins other notable CAAT participating employers like Brink’s Canada, Sanofi Pasteur, The Conference Board of Canada, Torstar, University of Saskatchewan, Vancouver Foundation, and the Ontario Dental Association.

As of January 1, 2022, the CAAT Pension Plan had $18 billion in assets, $4.4 billion in funding reserves, and an annualized 10-year net rate of return of 11.1%. The Plan is 124% funded on a going-concern basis.
