Updates and reminders
Members’ Annual Statements are complete!
We are happy to announce that we have delivered all member Annual Statements. Thank you to all employers for your data submissions and hard work to make this possible.
For members who have access to My Pension, please encourage your members to review their Annual Statement on the portal. Members who have registered and elected to receive their Annual Statements electronically can now view it online. Please remind and encourage your members to register for My Pension so they can easily access their Annual Statement any time.
Employers that have access to PAL will be able to view their member Annual Statements electronically. If you require a PDF file of all member Annual Statements, please contact your Employer PA.
New account information for EFTs
Read this if: you currently remit contributions using EFT or would like to start using EFT
Please use our new bank account when you remit your monthly contributions electronically. The new account information was provided in an email sent from the CAAT Pension Plan on June 16, 2021.
Current method of payments are still being accepted at this time. We ask that you please use the new account information as soon as you can, but by October 1, 2021 at the latest.
If you need confirmation of the EFT information, or have any questions, please contact your Employer PA or finance@caatpension.ca.
Quarterly reports with LTD listing - coming to you this month
Read this if: you work in the Ontario college sector
This month, we will send you quarterly reports for Q2 with your deferred, extension of membership (EOM) and part-time members. We will also provide a list of members who are on long-term disability leave (LTD) with the Plan.
Please review these members and confirm that they are still on LTD or send LTD start or stop forms for any members who need to be added or removed from the listing by August 31.
Annual termination project – status update
Read this if: you work in the Ontario college sector
The annual termination project identifies members who did not contribute to the Plan in the last reporting year. These members are reported as non-contributory (NC).
NC members will either receive a Termination Package or Retirement Package from the Plan based on their age and when their EOM period is ending.
As of July 9, 2021, the project is 52% complete, with 551 total packages completed and mailed. Thank you to those who have already sent packages back for payments.
The completion date for this project is August 31, 2021.
Annual Surveys
Your opinion matters!
The Employer Opinion Survey is now out! Check your inbox for an email with a link and passcode to this year’s employer survey.
You will have a month to complete the survey as it will close mid-August. We value and look forward to getting your feedback.
There’s still time for members to participate in the Active Member Survey
We value all feedback from our members, and each year we distribute a survey to help CAAT understand members’ needs. This feedback helps the Plan improve the services we provide. The survey has gone out to all members. Please encourage your members to participate in this year’s survey.
Employers with direct-to-member communications services: Your members received a survey invitation in June and will be sent a reminder email this week. Members will receive a passcode and link via email to the survey.
Employers without direct-to-member communications services: On July 20, you will receive a survey reminder email to pass along to your members. Please forward it to them promptly so all members have enough time to fill out the survey.
The Retired Member Survey is coming this month
This month, retired members will receive a postcard in the mail to tell them that they can access the survey link from the website.
Those who have signed up for NewsLink will receive an email from CAAT to ask them to share their opinions through the annual Retired Member Survey.
